Brixton rink
For the next two years our main rink will be a temporary rink in Brixton (South London), while the new Streatham rink is under construction. Well, when we say temporary, it is pretty sturdy and comfortable, with spacious changing rooms, fan seating and everything else that a good rink needs.
The temporary rink is just a 5 minute walk from Brixton tube (Victoria line) and National Rail stations, so it’s perfectly accessible from across London. A large number of buses also stop just outside of Brixton tube station, for details see the tfl bus map.
There is a small and free car park at the rink (access from Brixton Station road). There are plenty of spaces on Monday evenings, but it can get a bit tight on game days. There are more pay and display parking spaces around the rink.
Please note, the Blizzard Under 16s team plays games at Alexandra Palace in Haringey.
Streatham ice rink
The old Streatham ice rink is currently being completely redeveloped. The old rink closed it’s doors for the last time on 18th December 2011 and will be demolished to give way to the new Streatham Hub, including a new leisure centre with a full-size 1,000 seat ice rink.
The new leisure centre is scheduled to open in late 2013. In the meantime, you can follow the progress of the construction work via Streatham Ice Skating Action Group.
